The Joint Research Center for Electric Architecture, in collaboration with the Carbon Neutral Aviation Research Group of Ritsumeikan University, organizes an annual workshop on the theme of aircraft system electrification.
 
For the fourth workshop in FY2025, the event was held on Friday, January 30, 2026, under the title “Connecting Local Career Fest.” Designed as a student-focused program, the workshop provided an opportunity to learn about the real work and career paths offered by small and medium-sized enterprises in Akita that leverage unique, one-of-a-kind technologies and engage in cutting-edge initiatives.
 
On the day of the event, nine students from Akita University and three students from Ritsumeikan University participated. The program included presentations by four regional companies—Aster Co., Ltd., Sanei Machinery Co., Ltd., Miyakoshi Seiki Co., Ltd., and Yokote Seiko Co., Ltd.—as well as short research presentations and poster sessions by students, followed by group discussions between students and company representatives.
 
Participating students commented that the workshop was a meaningful opportunity to reflect deeply on the significance of pursuing a career in Akita.
