On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, six elementary school students (5th and 6th graders) from Daisen City visited our lab as part of the city-sponsored program “Columbus’s Egg: Science in Akita.”
During the visit, Specially Appointed Professor Kutsuzawa gave an overview of the lab, followed by a tour of Laboratory (1), where the students were introduced to the motor bench and copper feather.
Afterward, Associate Professor Yasuyoshi Umeki from the Regional Collaboration and Research Promotion Center at Akita Prefectural University gave a lecture on the history of aircraft, principles of flight, and the future of aviation.
Through this visit, the students had a valuable opportunity to explore the connection between science and aviation/electrification, sparking their curiosity and interest in science.
Thank you all for visiting!
