Interacting with other students at the welcome party
Graduate School of International Resource Sciences at Akita University has launched Short Stay Program "Sustainable Resource Development 2025", which started on Tuesday, June 17th by welcoming 19 students from 12 countries and will end on Thursday, July 10th.
On the first day of the program, the students introduced the cultures of their home countries and universities, and interacted with Akita University students at a welcome party.
During the program, they will attend intensive lectures covering a wide range of topics in resource sciences, take part in field trips to resource recycling facilities and geothermal power plants in Akita Prefecture, and perform laboratory exercises designed to help them plan and carry out individual research projects based on the insights gained throughout the program.
On the final day, each student is scheduled to give a final presentation on the knowledge and experiences they acquired during the program.
