Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship（Undergraduate Program）

【Overview】

The Faculty of International Resource Sciences known as FIRS, provides international education in resource sciences by offering all courses taught in English in the three departments: Dept. of Resource Policy and Management; Dept. of Earth Resource Science, and Dept. of Earth Resource Engineering and Environmental Science, in which courses are offered in humanities/social science, geo-science and engineering, respectively. Our aim is to nurture talented individuals who can play an active role in the global resource field, regardless of nationality. Therefore, we actively accept international students.

The Faculty of International Resource Sciences is currently applying for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship (Undergraduate Program) for students admitted in April 2026.

【Scholarship】

A monthly stipend of JPY 117,000 (subject to change in each academic year) is granted. Admission and tuition fees will be waived.

【Application Guidance】

The application guidelines and forms for the April 2026 enrollment are scheduled to be released around mid-November.
