Exchanging opinions with Prof. STEPHAN

On August 26th, Prof. STEPHAN Johannes from the Faculty of Business Administration at Freiberg University of Mining and Technology visited the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences at Akita University and exchanged opinions with Prof. SHIBAYAMA Atsushi, the Dean of the Graduate School, and Prof. INAGAKI Fumiaki, the Vice Dean of the Graduate School in regards to strengthening cooperation between both Faculties and Graduate Schools.
The universities concluded an Inter-University Agreement on July 4th in 2012 and there have been active exchanges among researchers and students.
From the late in this September, a 3rd year student from the Faculty of International Resource Sciences is planning to study overseas at the University to learn about strategies to promote renewable energy.
Akita University has concluded agreements with universities and various educational and research institutions around the world in order to promote people and researches exchange. As of March 2025, our inter-university agreements cover 80 universities and institutions in 37 countries and regions, and our inter-faculty agreements cover 46 faculties in 25 countries and regions.
